Solemn Vow is a trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• Allows Isaac to see the health bars of enemies and the amount of damage Isaac deals to them.
  • This behaves identically to the effect given by Spider Mod.

Interactions

• Trinket Multipliers: No effect.
• Box of Friends: Will cause 2 Spider Mod familiars to appear in the room. (NOTE: This is a bug, due to the nature of how Solemn Vow works internally)
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Solemn Vow rerolls it into Dealmakers.

Trivia

• This trinket's name, appearance, flavor text, and effect are all a direct reference to the melee weapon of the same name used by the Medic in Team Fortress 2, as both the trinket and the weapon have the similar effect of granting the player the ability to see enemies' healthbars.
  • Solemn Vow's flavor text, "Do no harm", is a phrase originating from the Hippocratic Oath historically taken by medical practitioners.
  • A "solemn vow" in the Roman Catholic canon law is a vow that the Church has recognized as such.
